Our work schedules have been crazy, limiting our blogging life but we have been sharing a few travel spots on our Instagram Feed Also with the increase in gas prices, traveling has become an expensive affair. That’s why we decided to try out something different and cost effective. A staycation within the city yes, but at a very relaxing spot for a much needed breeze at Waridi Paradise Hotel and Suites. Hell’s Gate National Park is a perfect sequestered weekend gateway yet close to the city.
The park is located in the great Rift valley,Kenya. About 110 km from Nairobi. It covers an area of about 68 square km and is one of the few game parks we have locally where you can walk, run or cycle alongside giraffes, zebras, warthogs, gazelles among others. Nothing beats such an adventure!
We FINALLY booked a home stay using AirBnB!!!! We will share the whole experience with you and how you can get a discount with your first booking, but first…..
Happy New year 2018 🙂
We’ve had an account with Airbnb for several years, yet we’ve never booked a stay using this service. After we stayed in Naivasha with Airbnb, our only regret is that we didn’t use the booking site sooner.
A few weeks back, we got a chance to kick off our heels and catch up with nature at a charming cabin at the slopes of Mt.Kenya. Castle Forest Lodge is the perfect place to get away from the city for just a day or two and enjoy the forest and tranquility that comes with it. Uniquely situated on the shoreline of sapphire-blue Lake Elementaita, where hundreds of thousands of birds congregate, the exclusive Sirville Lodge is an area of breathtaking beauty. We were recently invited to do a review of this stunning lodge, and the place blew us away.
We all wish we could escape to our favorite hole or walk away from work.Well, not really but equally as enticing (for us at this moment), is camping.
When we think about going camping in Kenya, especially if you are in Nairobi, the first thing that comes to mind is the lovely stretch along Lake Naivasha which includes several campsites such as Fishermans, Cray Fish and Camp Carnelley’s. All great places but sometimes you just want to get off the beaten track without having to venture too much further. Lake Oloiden is where it’s at.
